Greenway Station® to Host Fourth Annual ArtFest
MIDDLETON, Wis. (July 25, 2008) – Greenway Station’s fourth annual ArtFest will be held Saturday, August 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, August 3 from noon to 4 p.m. Thirty-five of the area’s best artists will participate in a juried art exhibition and sale held along the shopping center’s main street, Deming Way. The event will offer live entertainment, free children’s activities and a wealth of art to Middleton and surrounding communities.
The categories of art judged for the festival include jewelry, glass, photography, drawing, mixed media, painting, textiles, watercolor, fiber and wood. The show will feature artists representing each category but will focus on jewelry, photography and painting.
Customers can enjoy live jazz guitar performances by local musician Ken Wheaton and a live harp performance by local musician Rachel Avery. Plus, a hands-on family area offering interactive art activities including free children’s make-and-take workshops, caricatures and a chalk masterpiece will be available all weekend long.
“We’re thrilled that this event has become such a popular, well-attended festival for the Middleton area,†said Corey Kautzky, marketing director of Greenway Station. “Each year the event grows in participation and attendance, and I’m sure this year will be no exception.â€
